There can be a lot to consider when getting your vehicles shipped. However, we try to take the stress and time consuming aspects out of your hands so that you can deal with other issues that might need your attention. What you can do is be sure that you are prepared and take steps to make the process as easy as possible. How can you do this prior to your shipment? There are a few things that you can take care of that will save you time and effort later:

  • Go over your vehicle and note any damages. This includes, but is not limited to: scratches in the paint, dents or dings on the body or bumpers, cracks or small marks in the windshield and other glass or mirrored pieces, bent or cracked plastic pieces. Be sure to also inspect underneath your car and the roof area. If required (for example, with SUV’s) you may need to use a step ladder to fully inspect the roof – when was the last time you actually saw the condition of the top of your car?
  • Take care of any minor mechanical and regular maintenance issues prior to shipping. This will make the process easier and ensure that your car or truck is ready to go when it arrives at your destination. It can be frustrating to get to a new place and have your vehicle delivered only to have to take it in for maintenance or to have issues right away that prevent driving simply because a small issue was ignored. Be safe – taking care of these things before transport will pay off!
